This is a lovely hotel! It's classy and elegant, and overall it'll make your vacation that much more special. The location is great, as you can walk to restaurants or other places in Luray. The Luray Caverns are a quick drive away, as is a Walmart and Food Lion, and Skyline Drive's Thornton Gap Entrance is close by. I ate at the Circa '31 restaurant for breakfast, which was reasonably priced (the menu is small with a few standard breakfast options). Free coffee and muffins in the lobby at all times. The Speakeasy restaurant is very good, and has various specials/deals each night. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, with an area for bonfires and hammocks, as well as a pool and hot tub area. The staff is very kind and accommodating.
A few recommendations for the management:
~Put mini fridges in the rooms
~Put chairs on the balcony so people can use it as a sitting area
~Something to provide more counter space in the bathrooms
I recommend the Mimslyn Inn to anyone staying in the Luray area!

這個有着97年歷史的酒店，大氣奢華，文化底藴深厚。大廳擺放的書籍很珍貴，令人愛不釋手。我們住的特大床非常舒服，如果每個套房能配置冰箱（這次前台借了一個迷你小冰箱給我們，很可愛）和咖啡機就更好啦。酒店工作人員個個都熱情温暖，令人留連忘返。

We were looking for a place for a family of 5 for 1 night on our way to do a college visit. We were already planning to see the Luray Caverns so decided to pick somewhere local. Our stay here was in the White Cottage. When I booked it, I did not realize the only parking for this cottage is handicap parking. I called the front desk to see if we could park at the next cottage which had 2 spaces and was told we absolutely could not park there. The only parking available was in a gravel lot at the other end of the cottages or down the hill by the main hotel. Twice they told me I could park in the handicap spot. The thought of parking in that spot was a no go for me. I have family that need those spots and I don’t think I would have slept all night if I had done that. We stayed up late and I’m up by 7am and no one utilized the parking at the Bird’s nest cottage. I was denied close, otherwise legal parking for no apparent reason. Did I mention, you pass an entrance to the police station on the way to the cottages(?) the front desk attendant’s word that I would not get towed- well no thanks. The room was comfortable though it was only set up with 2 towels. We registered 5 people. Be e re ash for a nice hike to finish setting up your cottage so that you can use the shower, pool or hot tub.

Like many reviews this is a mixed review. If they would have responded to my private email regarding the issues I would not have resorted to a public review that the place was a little disappointing. And says to us that they don’t care. Dinner at the Speakeasy was amazing both nights. Food , drinks , service were amazing. The cabin we stayed in was the South River Cottage. The main negative was the tub/shower. There is def something wrong with the hanging of the shower curtain. The rod was not hung properly. The curtain hinges into the tub a good foot-tripping hazard. The shower head is clogged resulting in very poor pressure. There is a bit step into the cabinets and another down into the bathroom. The front door did not close fully. You could see daylight around it. Staff interaction was good. We needed towels and were given them at the desk. We requested a disintegrating rug be removed and the floor swept. It was handled promptly and the young ladies were very pleasant. Location is perfect. We walked into town and visited a few shops and restaurants. Coming from a background of property management I don’t understand simple repairs / upkeep not being done.

An incredible property!! Everything about this Inn is exceptional! We stayed in one of the cottages and we were delighted, clean, charming, well appointed, very relaxing and well worth the price. The Speakeasy was overwhelmed for dinner so we went off property, but we did have an absolutely outstanding breakfast in the Main Dinig room the next morning.
